My Adventure So Far: This Blog’s Original Intention
FIRST STARTING OUT When I first started this blog, I had originally intended for every blog post to start with “My Adventure So Far.” Back then, I thought I was going to view every instance in my life as an adventure. I thought my life would be full of stories I could tell, each one starting with “My Adventure So Far.” I wanted to encourage others to think of the moments in their life, whether big or small, as an adventure, as part of their grand story. But that’s not what happened. I didn’t do that. The adventure that is my life has not looked at all what I had…

Being Present In My Current Community
Blogging is a dream I’ve had for a while. I’ve had bumps in the road, but it’s all been worth it. However, throughout the years, I’ve had to rewrite some of my thinking. I used to think that I couldn’t produce and put out what I thought would be my greatest and most popular content until I had a ton of followers and email subscribers. I felt that I had to wait so that I could reach a ton of people. Though this mindset stemmed from a heart of wanting to help as many people as I could, it wasn’t the right way to go about it. Value the People…

MOD Pizza Blackberry Lemonade | Fast Food Fridays At Home
If you don’t know what Fast Food Fridays At Home are, please feel free to check out my YouTube channel where I have a whole video talking about it. MOD Pizza blackberry lemonade has been one of my favorite drinks for a while. A friend introduced it to me and I haven’t turned back since. Today I wanted to see if I could make it at home. This drink was pretty easy to make and was absolutely delicious! I would say that this is the perfect summer drink! The first Fast Food Friday was a success! If you have any suggestions for things you would like me to make for…

August, September & October 2021 Monthly Recap
I don’t know how other people write and post recaps every month. By the time the month is actually over, I feel like I literally just wrote the last recap a few days before. Like why is time flying by so fast? HIGHLIGHTS August & September: Is it bad if I can’t really think of something? October: Getting to see my brother play college football was the best part of October. I have seen my brother play football all throughout growing up, and I have watched his college games via online. But never had I been able to see a game in person until this month. There were a lot…

April, May, June, & July 2021 Monthly Recap
This year seems to be going by faster and faster each month! One minute the summer is just beginning and the next minute it’s almost time for a new school year to start. This recap will be a little bit longer than my usual, there’s so much time to cover! But ultimately my goal is to document this year and keep you guys in on the journey. HIGHLIGHTS April & May: One of my favorite things that happened in these two months was growing new friendships and getting to know new people. Moving across the country to somewhere I’ve never been can be daunting alone, but creating new friendships has…

My Impossible List
For many people, 2020 couldn’t have ended any sooner. The goals and things they had planned now feel pointless and unfulfilled with the changes that Covid-19 brought. And so, for many people, 2021 started a new year of resolutions. But with so many things still not completely back to normal, 2021 may also feel like a year that is already shot. BUCKET LISTS “A list of things that one has not done before but wants to do before dying.” Merriam-Webster dictionary Bucket lists are very common things to make. Online you will find plenty of bucket list ideas and printables for creating one. I created one when I was a…

Doing Is Daunting
I can sit and stare at my computer screen for hours. I have the words I want to say in my head, but trying to write them out is harder. It seems like the words never come out perfectly how I had them in my head. But sitting there and waiting for the words to come perfectly is easy. Hours go by and I don’t even notice sometimes, because I think this is the most productive way to go about this. It’s not. Sometimes there are things in life that scare us. Sometimes the next steps or phases in our life seem way too hard or way too much to…

February 2021 & March 2021 Monthly Recap
I totally dropped the ball on last month’s recap. It was 95% percent written but time got away from me. Though February went by way too fast for me, not a lot happened. March flew by as well but seemed packed with bussyness. HIGHLIGHTS The highlight from the past two months was definitely at the beginning of March. Not only did one of my best friends get married, but my mom, one of my sisters and two of my good friends came to visit me! I love anytime I get to see family and loved ones. We went hiking, out to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and had…

Wasting Time Is Easy
Have you ever had that moment where you were enjoying what you were doing and really didn’t want the moment to end? Or have you ever had that time where you hated what you were doing and really couldn’t wait for the clock to move any faster, for the moment to end, and to be able to forget that ever happened? Yeah, me too. A FUNNY THING “Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.” Harvey MacKay Time is a funny thing. We say…

January 2021 Monthly Recap
It’s the end of January 2021 already! I can’t believe we are already 31 days into 2021. 2021 is definitely flying by already. My goal this year is to do a recap at the end of every month. As the months go on, I can’t wait to see what they will include and I can’t wait to be able to go back and read them! HIGHLISTS Family The highlight of this month was getting to bring in the new year with my family. We were able to spend Christmas and New Year’s together and had tons of fun, complete with lots of late night talks and lots of game nights.…
